Reception

Welcome to St Thomas' Reception Class! I’m Mrs. Scott, and I’ve been a teacher for 17 years, with the last 12 spent here at St Thomas’. Before becoming a teacher, I worked as a nursery nurse, where I discovered my passion for Early Years education.

I am the Designated Deputy Safeguarding Lead and am trained in paediatric first aid, ensuring that your child’s safety is always at the forefront of everything I do. I believe that a child’s happiness, learning, and positive experiences are key to building strong foundations for their future, and these are always my top priorities in the classroom.

      Some useful information- 

• PE is on a Tuesday and Friday. Please bring PE kits both days and label all PE kit. 
• Please make sure the children always have a named water bottle in school.
• Please make sure all uniform is also clearly labelled.
• Homework will go home on a Friday and be due back the following Friday.
• When children get a reading book (this will differ from child to child), these will be changed on a Wednesday.
