As part of our learning we have been using a 5 frame to add and check.

Please follow the link for the interactive 5 frame and ask your child to complete the following equations. (If your child can not read the numbers then please read them aloud. They can still use the 5 frame to work out the whole)

Quick not - the children have been taught that when adding on a 5 frame, we start on the left hand side. We fill all spaces in order (do not leave gaps on the 5 frame) and keep each part together (e.g. if it says 3+2 put 3 reds on followed by 2 yellows.)
